Icebreaker with Marian Rezkalla

Today, we are breaking the ice with Marian Rezkalla, our Proposal Manager. She's been with us for 9 months.

1. What's the coolest thing about your job?

One MAJOR cool part of my job are the people I work with :). The culture and the energy of the team is incredible.

It is also very interesting to learn about the different services we provide with all the different RFx/RFPs that come in. I get to work with people across the company that have different skills and that are involved with different projects. Through these tenders that come in and the different expertise of our team, I basically learn more about our services.

2. What's your favourite hobby outside of work?

I do not have one set major hobby outside of work, but I like to try new things overall. 
I walk a lot! (that is happening less due to the weather, unfortunately).
I like to sing. I used to sing all the time and do local city performances however that has stopped for many years now. 
I like to listen to podcasts and of course watch movies.

3. What's the best advice you've ever received?

I have SO many great advices that I have received and read throughout my short lived life. Here are a few:

How you feel makes a big difference in determining the course of your life;  Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Forgive and let go; TRUE forgiveness is forgetting

4. If you could switch roles with someone for a day, who would it be and why?

I would probably like to switch roles with someone from sales that works within the field, just to see how the connections and communications are built with clients and our partners. Or maybe I would like to see how software coding or something along those lines for a day , even though I probably wouldn’t really understand.

5. What's a fun fact about you that most people would not guess?

I LOVE pickles and I CRAVE sour and spicy foods. I’m not sure if this is a “FUN” fact, but I grew up with a single mother and went to PURE French schools, so French is my second language.
